Caroline and Drew – Reflect, LCC

Reflect is a new company on the horizon and is having an instantaneous impact on the way people are thinking about fashion. Reflect uses clothing as a vehicle to better our lives.
The creators of the company are brother and sister, Drew and Caroline Yacu. Raised in an Iraqi family, these Chaldean siblings grew up in the UK. Their parents left the Middle East in the early 1970′s seeking a better life for their children. This path eventually led them to the United States in 1987 as their father was offered a position in the Midwest. Over time, Drew and Caroline assimilated to American culture while holding on to their Iraqi heritage through the family.
The way out of Baghdad was through education, and their father instilled the importance of education in them from a very young age. As children of a well-educated and successful Chemical Engineer, Drew and Caroline’s path through academia was simple…they became ChemE’s like their dad.
Both attending Big Ten schools and receiving their bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering could not have made their parents more proud! They had succeeded in bringing up their children in the West – and provided them with a great education.
Over time however, Drew and Caroline felt unfulfilled. From the outside, they both had great jobs with prestigious titles and a solid income. From the inside, however, they both felt unhappy and unfulfilled. This fueled the search for something more. Drew in New York City and Caroline in San Francisco, they were living out their ChemE lives whilst seeking something else…their purpose in life, as cliché as it sounds!
As they both took journeys of introspection, they realized that nothing gave them more joy than being a source of inspiration and hope for others. Through several turns and twists, their introspective journeys gave birth to Reflect!
Now teamed up and energetically aligned, Drew and Caroline combined their strengths and have created a dynamic and stylish new look to personal development.
Drew and Caroline have been inspiring each other for years, and now their dream is to inspire people all over the world by spreading belief, support, and encouragement with their tools of empowerment.

Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
